dBlues at the Too Slim Benefit

A huge thanks to Les Hutchinson and Tracy Turner-Pain & Louis Pain for bidding on and winning the two copies of "Blues On Beale Street: Memoirs Of The International Blues Challenge" book at last night's huge Benefit show for Tim "Too Slim" Langford of Too Slim & The Taildraggers who recently underwent cancer surgery.

These books along with ticket sales, raffle tickets and other silent auction bids helped raise $10000.00 for Tim at this event in Portland, OR.

Both books were graciously bought for the event by Greg "Slim Lively" Johnson and David Kahl.

Still haven't gotten a copy of the book? You can purchase that and more in the dBlues store!

Blues on Beale Street at Cascade Blues Association Meeting

Hey Portland, Don't forget that if you're interested in picking up a copy of Blues on Beale Street, Memoirs of the International Blues Challenge, co-author Greg Slim Lively Johnson will have ten copies at the Cascade Blues Association meeting, Wednesday, February 4 at The Melody Ballroom, 615 SE Alder St.

Two sets of live blues starting with an acoustic set by Tim Connor and a band performance by the JT Wise Band at 7:00 pm, free for CBA members, $3.00 for non-members. All ages welcome.

The books have each been signed by documentingBlues photographer Jenn Ocken, and Greg will be glad to sign them personally for you at the meeting. Each book is $52.00, the same price you would pay to have them shipped from Louisiana without the signatures. Don't hesitate, there are only ten at this time.

But don't dispair if you do not arrive in time before they sell out, you can always order a copy online in our dBlues Store!
